Who is responsible

This website, scorohodco.com, is run by me, Cristian Scorohodco, as an individual based in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. I am the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach me at cristian@scorohodco.com for any privacy question or request.

What this site collects

The site is a static presentation of my professional profile. It has no accounts, forms, comments or advertising.

• Hosting logs. My hosting provider, Hostinger, processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request when you load the site. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects how you use the site: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (country and city level), device and browser type, and referring website. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Email. If you write to me, I receive your email address and what you send, and I use it only to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering your message, or steps at your request before a contract. I keep correspondence only as long as needed for the conversation or any resulting engagement.

Cookies and consent

No analytics cookies are set and no Google scripts are loaded until you click “Accept analytics” in the banner. If you click “Reject” or ignore the banner, nothing is loaded. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent removes the analytics cookies and stops further measurement. It does not affect anything done before.

Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage for about six months, after which I will ask again.

The site uses fonts hosted on its own server, so visitors’ requests are not sent to Google Fonts. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off.

Who receives your data

• Hostinger, as my web hosting provider.
• Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, as provider of Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics. Google may process this data in the United States and other countries. Transfers rely on the safeguards in Google’s data processing terms, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

I do not sell your data or use it for advertising or profiling.

How long data is kept

• Google Analytics event data: 2 months, then deleted automatically.
• Analytics cookies: up to 2 years unless you withdraw consent earlier.
• Hosting logs: according to Hostinger’s retention settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, and under Moldovan Law No. 133/2011 on personal data protection, you can ask me to give you access to your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, or provide it in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time. Email me at cristian@scorohodco.com and I will answer within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Moldova this is the National Centre for Personal Data Protection (datepersonale.md). If you live in the EU or EEA, you can complain to the authority in your country of residence.

This site links to LinkedIn, Medium, GitHub and engiom.com. Those sites have their own privacy policies and cookies, and I am not responsible for them.

Children

The site is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If I change how the site handles data, I will update this page and its date. If a change affects cookies, I will ask for your consent again.
